As required by the Food Standards Agency, this accredited qualification covers all areas of food safety in catering, promotes a safe working environment for all employees and encourages the ability to identify, understand and build awareness of potential risks and dangers.
You will gain a sound introduction in all aspects of food safety from harmful bacteria and food poisoning risks, to personal hygiene, suitable premises and pest control, all obtained through a one day course, assessed via a one hour, multiple choice exam. In order to remain informed of changes in legislation, it is advised that the course is re-taken every three years.
